IDXChannel - PT Adhi Karya Tbk (ADHI) has received Rp17.2 trillion in payment for the Greater Jakarta light rail transit (LRT) project. It is equivalent to 73 percent of the total cost.
According to Adhi Karya President Director Entus Asnawi Mukhson, the total cost of the project is Rp23.3 trillion. The remaining Rp6 trillion would be paid to Adhi Karya after the project is handed over.
He said that there are still some additional works that need to be completed. The LRT project is expected to be operational in June 2023.
Adhi Karya is still waiting for an approval from the Ministry of Transportation regarding the operational target of the LRT. The project will connect Jakarta with Bogor and Bekasi.
Apart from LRT Project, the company has also received payment for the Banda Aceh-Sigli toll road. The company recently received Rp7 trillion in payment for the project.
The toll road costs around Rp9.7 trillion. Entus said the payment is a breat of fresh air for the company.
