30 French Business Leaders and Investors to Visit Indonesia
Mouvement des Entreprises de France (MEDEF) International will once again bring a delegation of French business leaders and investors to Jakarta.
IDXChannel - Mouvement des Entreprises de France (MEDEF) International, in collaboration with the Indonesian Embassy in Paris, will once again bring a delegation of French business leaders and investors to Jakarta from 17-19 February.
The delegation will be led by the Indonesian Ambassador to France, Monaco, Andorra, and UNESCO Mohamad Oemar, along with the Chairman of the Indonesia-France Business Council, Philippe Louis-Dreyfus, who is also the chairman of Louis-Dreyfus Armateur, a leading French shipping company.
So far, 30 CEOs and high-level officials from top French multinational companies operating in key sectors such as renewable energy, aerospace, agriculture, transportation, logistics, infrastructure, and information technology have confirmed their participation.
Among these companies are globally recognized industry leaders such as Airbus, Thales, Eramet, Groupe ADP, Ardian, Alstom, and HDF Energy.
"During their three-day visit to Jakarta, the MEDEF International business delegation will hold meetings with business partners and key stakeholders in the Indonesian government to explore investment opportunities, particularly in strategic sectors such as renewable energy, innovative technologies, transportation, and infrastructure development," the Indonesian Embassy said in a media release, Thursday (13/2/2025).
France is one of Indonesia’s key economic partners, ranking as Indonesia’s 11th largest foreign direct investor globally, the 3rd largest from Europe, and the 2nd largest from the European Union as of 2023.
"These investments are expected to support Indonesia’s economic transformation and growth in the coming years," the embassy said.
"This visit also reflects the strong support of French business leaders for Indonesia’s new administration under President Prabowo Subianto, who has committed to enhancing governance efficiency, law enforcement, and anti-corruption efforts to create a more conducive business and investment environment for foreign investors," it said.
