Minister: Export and Consumption as a Strong Capital in 2023
Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati is optimistic that the Indonesian economy in the fourth quarter of 2022 will grow above 5 percent.
IDXChannel - Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati is optimistic that the Indonesian economy in the fourth quarter of 2022 will grow above 5 percent, in line with increasing public consumption at the end of the year.
"In the fourth quarter economic growth will remain strong above 5 percent or about 5 percent. Because we see the condition of the community our consumption is still growing very strongly, even mobility towards the end of the year is increasing," she said.
In addition, Sri Mulyani's optimism is based on tax revenues in the area derived from restaurants, hotels, parking fees which are expected to increase by up to 120 percent. He sees this not only happening in Jakarta, but almost in all regions.
"Local tax revenues in terms of restaurant, hotel, parking taxes have increased by 11 per cent, 20 per cent. The increase is 60 percent or even 120 percent, this is not only a phenomenon in Jakarta, this is a phenomenon in almost all regions," he said.
