IDXChannel - Pertamina’s Vice President for Corporate Communication Fajar Djoko Santoso has confirmed the dismissal of the state energy company’s Business Support Director Dedi Sunardi.

Nevertheless, he did not explain the reason behind Dedi's dismissal. Dedi was dismissed following the fire incident at Pertamina’s Plumpang Fuel Depot in North Jakarta.

According to Fajar, the dismissal was the authority of the shareholders.

"It can be asked to the shareholders," Fajar told MNC Portal Indonesia on Wednesday (8/3/2023).

Previously, State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Minister Erick Thohir said that he would not hesitate to remove any official. He also aksed SOES to form business risk teams.

"I once removed Pertamina directors, but if I need to remove them again, I'll remove them again," said Erick on Saturday (4/3/2023).

"I will review. I ask for an investigation," he stated.

Dedi was appointed as Pertamina’s Business Support Director in May 2021 based on the Decree of the Minister of SOEs Number SK -142/MBU/05/2021. The position currently is held temporarily by Pertamina Logistics and Infrastructure Director Erry Widiastono until the appointment of a definitive replacement.
