IDXChannel - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin has stated that the poverty alleviation program budget should not be spent on comparative studies or meetings.
The statement was related to the earlier statement by Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reforms who noted that the poverty alleviation budget, which reached Rp500 trillion rupiah, was spent on meetings and comparative studies at hotels.
Regarding this, Vice President Ma’ruf Amin emphasized that the poverty alleviation budget is part of government’s efforts to reduce the extreme poverty rate to zero percent by 2024.
“Proper program coordination, then budget convergence, so that the funds don't run separately, but there is convergence, so that the budget is effective,” he stated.
“Moreover, we have a target to reduce extreme poverty to zero percent by 2024, so that the use of the budget should be really efficient,” he added.
