IDX CHANNEL- Risk Bank Indonesia sees four factors that increase the risk of stagflation. First, the increase in covid-19 cases which had previously been sloping. Second, the long-standing political tensions between Russia and Ukraine. Third, the protectionism carried out by many countries to secure their respective supplies, especially food, which resulted in price increases that were out of control. Fourth, supply chain disruptions that also add pressure to world food prices. This condition increased inflation which reached its highest point for many countries.
