BRI (BBRI) to Disburse Rp34.89 Trillion Dividends Today

PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) is set to disburse Rp34.89 trillion in cash dividends on Wednesay (12/4/2023).

Previously, BBRI distributed Rp8.60 trillion in interim dividends to shareholders on 27 January. 

This decision is in accordance with the results of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) which was held on 13 March where BRI will use 85 percent of its consolidated net profit to pay dividends.

President Director of BRI Sunarso said that the determination of the ratio took into account the BRI’s strong capital structure and liquidity.

"With a dividend payout ratio of 85%, the company's CAR is maintained at around 20% ," said Sunarso in a press release on Wednesday (12/04/2023).

The dividend distribution is part of the company's commitment to creating values for all stakeholders, especially the public.

“BRI does business with the people and is supported by the people. BRI's profits are returned to the people through taxes and dividends, "concluded Sunarso.

For information, from January to December 2022, the BRI Group was able to record a strong and sustainable performance amidst global economic uncertainties, by successfully recording a net profit of Rp51.4 trillion, growing 67.15 percent year on year (yoy).

Thus, Rp43.94 trillion is spent to pay dividens, while the remaining 15 percent worth Rp7.67 trillion is used as retained earnings. (WHY)
