ASEAN and Partners Discuss Ways to Enhance Connectivity

IDXChannel - The ASEAN Connectivity Coordinating Committee (ACCC) has completed a two-day virtual workshop focused on supporting the implementation of the Master Plan on ASEAN Connectivity (MPAC) 2025. 

Day 1 of the workshop was held on 4 October.

Held on Thursday (12/102/2023), Day 2 of the workshop was attended by over 110 participants involving an open discussion between ASEAN and its external partners on ways to enhance engagement towards a more effective and impactful cooperation to support MPAC 2025 implementation.

In his welcoming remarks, Ambassador Derry Aman, Permanent Representative of Indonesia to ASEAN and Chair of the ACCC highlighted the need for ASEAN to develop strong and supportive engagements with other international players. 

"He noted that the workshop presented an opportunity to exchange insights and perspectives to enhance synergy and collaboration in supporting ASEAN Connectivity through partnerships," the ASEAN Secretariat stated in a media release.

Ambassador Bovonethat Douangchak, Permanent Representative of the Lao PDR to ASEAN and incoming Chair of the ACCC, concluded the workshop by highlighting the opportunities arising from collective efforts to enhance connectivity and narrow the development gap, towards achieving a more connected and resilient ASEAN.
