IDXChannel - Indonesia strongly condemned Israel’s attack on United Nations (UN) refugees facilities in Khan Younis, Gaza. The attack resulted in the loss of lives.

"This attack adds to the list of violations of international law by Israel," the Indonesian Foreign Ministry stated on its X account today.

Earlier this week, Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi  participated in the UN Security Open Debate on the situation in the Middle East and Palestine. She reaffirmed Indonesia's unwavering commitment to stand with Palestine

She demanded an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza. It will provide space to address the humanitarian situation in Gaza, begin work on post-conflict reconstruction, and the process for the two-state solution.

She also advocated a full membership for Palestine in the UN. This is essential to start fair and balanced work on the two-state solution and to stop Israel's brutal aggression.

Lastly, Indonesia's top diplomat urged countries to stop the flow of arms to Israel. According to her, every weapon sent to Israel can be used to kill innocent civilians.

The death toll from Israeli attacks against Palestinians in Gaza has surpassed 25 thousand people, most of the victims are women and children. (WHY)
