Jokowi to Meet Xi Jinping in Chengdu

"This morning I, together with the first lady and a limited delegation, will pay a working visit to Chengdu in China. My visit to Chengdu is to fulfill President Xi Jinping's invitation," said Jokowi at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport in Jakarta this morning.
"China is Indonesia's largest trade and investment partner. And in Chengdu I will have a meeting with President Xi Jinping. And I will discuss a number of issues with President Xi such as investment opportunities and strategic projects for Indonesia and China as well as the issues of trade and health and also regional and global issues," Jokowi said.
Jokowi also revealed that he would meet with several CEOs or company leaders in China. He wants to invite Chinese business leaders to invest in Indonesia.
"I will also meet with several CEOs of Chinese companies who have invested and will invest in Indonesia, especially in the downstream industries as well as petrochemical, renewable energy and health sectors," Jokowi said.
Not only that, Jokowi is also scheduled to attend the opening ceremony of the World University Games to support the Indonesian contingent competing in the sports event.
"I will also attend the opening of the World University Games to encourage our contingent who are competing there. And on Saturday morning, God willing, I will return to Jakarta," said Jokowi. (WHY)
