Prabowo Congratulates Trump on Election Win, Eyes Stronger Indonesia-US Ties

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto congratulated Donald Trump on his victory in the United States (US) Presidential Elections 2024.

"My heartfelt congratulations to Mr. @realDonaldTrump for being elected as the 47th President of the United States of America," Prabowo said in a post on X.

According to Prabowo, Indonesia and the US are strategic partners who share a robust and multifaceted relationship. 

"Our strategic partnership holds immense potential for mutual benefit," the Indonesian presiden added.

"I look forward to collaborating closely with you and your administration to further enhance this partnership and for global peace and stability," he continued.

Congratulations are flowing in from world leaders for Trump following his election victory. Some of them are Chinese President Xi Jinping, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Britisih Prime Minister, and French President Emmanuel Macron.

"We respect the choice of the American people and congratulate Mr. Trump on being elected as president of the United States," the Chinese Foreign Ministry said in a statement. (Wahyu Dwi Anggoro)
