IDXChannel - Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN Tran Duc Binh welcomed the delegation from Ministry of Science and Technology of China, led by its Chief Inspector Gao Bao.
The meeting was held at the ASEAN headquarters, Jakarta, Wednesday (21/9/2023).
According to a media release issued by the ASEAN Secretariat, the discussion centered on advancing collaboration in Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) between ASEAN and China.
"This exchange marked a significant step towards fostering a symbiotic relationship in science and technology between ASEAN-China," the ASEAN Secretariat stated.
Both sides expressed mutual desire to reinforce and broaden the scope of cooperation in STI through the implementation of ASEAN-China Plan of Action on a Closer Partnership of Science, Technology and Innovation for Future (2021-2025).
They underscored key sectors such as chip technology, 5G technology, new energy vehicles, belt and road initiative, industrial machine, industrial software and new materials, among others. (WHY)
