IDXChannel - The Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2023 automotive exhibition is ready to be held on August 10-20 at ICE BSD City, Tangerang, Banten.
This year's exhibition will feature more electric cars. This is in line with the government's policy to encourage manufacturers to develop electric cars in the country.
According to General Chairperson of Gaikindo Yohannes Nangoi, this year's event will be different. Apart from the much larger number of participants, some manufacturers will also showcase their electric vehicles
"The number of brands is much larger and we will see more electric cars and even more exhibitions of this technology," Nangoi said when met in Jakarta (13/7/2023).
For your information, GIIAS 2023 will be enlivened by 49 brands, including passenger cars such as Audi, BMW, Chery, Citroen, Daihatsu, DFSK, GWM Tank, Haval, Honda, Hyundai, KIA, Lexus, Maxus, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, MG, MINI, Mitsubishi Motors, Neta, Nissan, Ora, Porsche, Seres, Subaru, Suzuki, Toyota, Volkswagen, Volvo and Wuling.
There are also five brands of commercial vehicles, such as Hino, Isuzu, Mitsubishi Fuso, Toyota Commercial, UD Trucks. Lastly, there are 15 brands of two-wheeled vehicles, namely Alva, Aprilia, Astra Honda Motor, Benelli, Exotic, Harley-Davidson, Ion Mobility, Keeway, Motoguzzi, Pacific, Piaggio, Polytron, Royal Enfield, Segway, and Vespa.
Rizwan Alamsjah, Chairman of Gaikindo Exhibition Organizer, emphasized that GIIAS is not only an automotive exhibition event. However, this event is also intended to introduce latest technologies and innovations in the automotive industry.
"This year, dozens of the latest vehicle technology innovations, including electric-based vehicles will be launched at GIIAS 2023," he said. (WHY)
