IDXChannel - The Ministry of National Development Planning/the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) has revealed that the Indonesia Gold 2045 Vision includes five goals.
First, Indonesia's income per capita must be on par with developed countries. The country's gross national income (GNI) per capita is targeted to reach USD30,300 in 2045.
"So we will not only escape the middle income trap, but will also become a high income country," said Head of Bappenas Suharso Monoarfa in Jakarta on Monday (22/5/2023 ).
The second target is poverty eradication. The government is also committed to reducing inequality.
"We will suppress poverty. And the most important thing is the GINI ratio which illustrates inequality," he said.
According to Suharso, the third target is increasing Indonesia's leadership and influence in the international community.
"From the Global Power Index, we have increased and hopefully it will be even higher in the future," he stated.
While the fourth and fifth targets are increasing Human Capital Index (HCI) to 0.73 and reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 93.5 percent. (WHY)
