IDXChannel - The government is boosting its blue economy programs in order to support downstream efforts in the fishery sector in the country. Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono will encourage the implementation of measurable fishing (PIT).
According to the Minister, the government has several blue economy programs. First, the government is committed to expanding conservation efforts.
“Second is measurable fishing. One of the challenges of measurable fishing is extreme weather. They couldn’t sail,” the minister told reporters some time ago.
The third program is encouraging aquaculture The minister said the government would try to boost production.
“Production has reached less than six million. We would increase it a little more,” he said.
The minister also stated the government would focus on several superior commodities. Officials would continue to develop these superior commodities.
