Minister Says 21.5 Million MSMEs in Indonesia Have Joined Digital Ecosystem

IDXChannel - As many as 21.5 million micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) have joined the digital ecosystem, according to Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs (MenKopUKM) Teten Masduki.
The government expects at least 30 million MSMEs to join the digital ecosystem by 2024.
"Digitalization of MSMEs has become a government policy. We are now targeting 30 million MSMEs, now there are 21.5 million MSMEs," said Teten in Jakarta on Monday (10/4/2023).
According to Teten, his Ministry continues to encourage MSMEs to enter the digital ecosystem. If they join the digital ecosystem, it will be easier to get financing.
"If they enter the digital ecosystem, it will be much easier for them. Later, for example, we can disburse financing using a credit scoring approach," he explained .
Apart from tha, Teten said, his ministry also continues to support MSME actors to be able to enter the industrial supply chain.
"If connected with off takers, the financing for the MSMEs will run smoothly because there is market certainty," he concluded. (WHY)
