BRI (BBRI) to Pay Rp43.5 Trillion Dividends
PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) on Monday (13/3/2023) decided to distribute dividends of Rp43 trillion.
IDXChannel - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) on Monday (13/3/2023) decided to distribute dividends of Rp43.5 trillion or 85 percent of its total net profit.
In 2022, BBRI recorded a total net proft of Rp51.4 trillion.
"85 percent of the 2022 profit will be attributable as dividends amounting to Rp43.5 trillion or Rp288 per share," said BRI President Director Sunarso at a press conference in Jakarta on Monday (13/3/2023).
Meanwhile, he added, around 15 percent of last year’s net profit amounting to Rp7.7 trillion will be used as retained earnings.
"The state will receive Rp.23 trillion in dividends," he explained.
With this dividend ratio, he stated, the company believes that its performance will continue to improve along with strong liquidity and capital.
"We are optimistic that in the next 2-3 years BRI will grow aggressively because it has sufficient liquidity and capital," he explained.
For information, the company managed to record a consolidated net profit of Rp51.40 trillion in 2022. This achievement is the highest in the history of Indonesian banking.
The net profit increased by 67.15 percent on an annual basis. The main contributor was net interest income (NII) which reached Rp124.6 trillion, growing 9.21 percent year-on-year,
BRI's assets as of December 2022 recorded an increase of 11.18 percent to Rp1,865.64 trillion. Meanwhile, Third Party Funds (DPK) grew 14.85 percent to Rp1,307.88 trillion.
BRI’s non-performing loans (NPL) ratio decreased from 3.08 percent to 2.82 percent in December 2022.
