Indonesia Condemns Israeli Attacks against Healthcare Facilities in Northern Gaza

Indonesia has strongly condemned the total blockade and Israeli attacks.

IDXChannel - Indonesia has strongly condemned the total blockade and Israeli attacks that have caused severe hunger and the deaths of countless Palestinian civilians in Northern Gaza.

"Indonesia warns that hospitals, healthcare workers, and all patients receiving care must be protected under all circumstances, without exception," the Indonesian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday (22/10/2024).

According to the Ministry, the attacks targeting healthcare facilities and workers in Northern Gaza, including the Indonesian Hospital, are clear violations of international law, international humanitarian law and fundamental human rights.

"Indonesia demands that Israel immediately stop its attacks across all of Gaza, particularly Northern Gaza," the Ministry said.

"Indonesia urges the UN Security Council to take decisive action to end the war without delay," it stated.

The Indonesian Hospital is one of the healthcare facilities that are still operational in northern Gaza. It was built in 2011 and funded by Indonesian people and organizations. (Wahyu Dwi Anggoro)
