Jokowi Appoints Budi Arie Setiadi as New Communication Minister

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has officially inaugurated a number of ministers and deputy ministers.

The inauguration ceremony took place at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakrta, today (17/7/2023) at 09.00 Western Indonesia Time (WIB)

One of the newly-inaugurated officials is Budi Arie Setiadi as Minister of Communication and Information.

His inauguration was based on Presidential Decree Number 62P of 2023 concerning the Appointment of the Minister of Communication and Information in the Indonesian Advanced Cabinet for the 2019-2024 period.

 "By Allah, I swear that I will be loyal to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia," said Budi.

Here are the ministers and deputy ministers inaugurated by Jokowi today:

 1. Budi Arie Setiadi as Minister of Communication and Information
 2. Pahala Mansury as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
 3. Nezar Patria as Deputy Minister of Communication and Information
 4. Paiman Raharjo as Deputy Minister of Villages, Disadvantaged Areas and Transmigration
 5. Rosan Perkasa Roeslani as Deputy Minister of State Owned Enterprises (SOEs)
 6. Saiful Rahmat Dasuki as Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs.
