IDXChannel - Bank Indonesia (BI), trough the Board of Governors Meeting (RDG), today decided to maintain the BI 7-Day Reverse Repo Rate (BI7DRR) at 5.75%.
BI also kept the Deposit Facility Rate at 5.00%, and the Lending Facility Rate at 6.50%.
According to BI Governor Perry Warjiyo, the decision is consistent with the monetary policy stance to ensure that inflation is low and manageble within the target range of 3.0±1% in 2023 and 2.5±1% in 2024.
"Monetary policy remains focused on controlling the stability of the rupiah exchange rate in order to anticipate the spillover effects of global financial market uncertainties," he said in Jakarta on Thursday (21/9/2023).
Meanwhile, loose macroprudential policies continue to be pursued to encourage credit/financing from banks to businesses through macroprudential liquidity incentive policies with a focus on downstream, housing, tourism, and inclusive and green financing.
