IDXChannel - Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr Kao Kim Hourn attended the 9th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Minerals (AMMin) held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, Thursday (23/11/22023).
The meeting was Chaired by the Ministry of Mines and Energy of Cambodia.
"The meeting discussed ways to further strengthen ASEAN cooperation in minerals and took stock of the progress in the implementation and monitoring of the ASEAN Minerals Cooperation Action Plan (AMCAP)," the ASEAN Secretariat stated in a media release
The 9th AMMin followed by a High-Level Dialogue to discuss ‘Promoting ASEAN as a Sustainable Minerals Investment Destination: Opportunities and Challenges in the Region’s Critical Minerals Value Chains.
Intergovernmental Forum on Mining, Minerals, Metals and Sustainable Development, International Energy Agency, UN ESCAP, Coordinating Committee for Geoscience Programmes in East and Southeast Asia CCOP, ASEAN Federation on Mining Association, and McKinsey attended the dialogue.
In Phnom Penh, the Secretary-General of ASEAN also witnessed the Awarding Ceremony of the 3rd ASEAN Minerals Awards held during the Gala Dinner of the 9th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Minerals.
