IDXChannel - The Financing Supply and Demand Survey, conducted by Bank Indonesia (BI), indicated modest growth of corporate demand for financing in April 2023.
It was reflected by a Weighted Net Balance (WNB) of 19.8%, down from 24.0% in March 2023.
“Demand for financing was primarily sourced from internal funds, which remained dominant, followed by an increase in committed undisbursed loans,” said BI Communication Department Executive Director Erwin Haryono said in a press release on Monday (22/5/2023).
“Meanwhile, demand for financing sourced through domestic banks tended to moderate,” he stated.
New loan disbursements by the banking industry in April 2023 also indicated limited growth, with the corresponding WNB decreasing to 68.9% from 94.6% in the previous period.
