The participation of the Indonesian Embassy in Phnom Penh in the 16th CIE is an ongoing effort to promote and increase Indonesian product sales in Cambodia. In addition to products from PT. Dami Sariwana, all the products displayed in the exhibition have entered Cambodia and are available for purchase in markets, minimarkets, and supermarkets.
Cambodia is a potential market for Indonesian products, with a trend of increasing bilateral trade values. Currently, Indonesia is the 6th largest trading partner of Cambodia after China, the United States, Vietnam, Thailand, and Japan.
According to the data from the General Directorate of Customs and Excise of Cambodia for the period of January to November 2023, the bilateral trade value reached USD965.1 million. Indonesian exports to Cambodia amounted to USD894.6 million (an increase of 12.3%, year-on-year), and Indonesian imports from Cambodia recorded USD70.5 million (an increase of 111%, year-on-year).
In addition to Indonesia, foreign representatives participating in the exhibition included Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Malaysia, China, South Korea, Pakistan, India, Turkey, Japan, New Zealand, Australia, France, and Germany. (WHY)
