IDXChanel - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) held a bilateral meeting with Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu at the Bogor Presidential Palace, Bogor, West Java today, Thursday 25 January 2024.
According to President Jokowi, the two leaders agreed to strengthen relations between Indonesia and Tanzania.
"The friendship between Indonesia and Tanzania is further strengthened today with President Samia's visit to Indonesia where we have agreed to advance concrete cooperation in various fields," said Jokowi at the Bogor Presidential Palace, onThursday (25/1/2024) .
This year, Indonesia will hold the second Indonesia Africa Forum to strengthen south-south cooperation in which Tanzania is one of the main partners.
A preferential trade agreement, said Jokowi, is needed to increase trade between the two countries. The initial round of negotiations is expected to begin this year.
