IDXChannel - Indonesian Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati has arrived in Washington DC to attend the IMF-World Bank Spring Meetings 2023.
"Initially, I met with the President of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), T. Raja Kumar. Our discussion was mainly about Indonesia's full membership in the FATF," said Sri through her official Instagram account @smindrawati on Thursday (13/4/2023).
Indonesia will undergo a Mutual Evaluation Review (MER) to be able to get a full membership. This membership proposal was submitted by the Finance Ministry since 2017.
According to the minister, a full member status in the FATF would provide many benefits. It would the image of the Indonesian financial system as well as improving the quality of the investment climate in Indonesia.
"Moreover, many of the FATF's strategic priorities are aligned with Indonesia's development priorities!" Sri concluded. (WHY)
