IDXChannel - PT Aneka Tambang Tbk or Antam (ANTM) recorded a decline in production for almost all types of metal throughout 2022. Antam’s ferronickel production decreased by 5.74 percent, while gold production decreased by 24.88 percent.
Nevertheless, alumina production increased in 2022.
Based on the 2022 production report, antam recorded an unaudited ferronickel production volume of 24,334 tons. The figure decreased by 5.74 percent compared to the previous year.
Corporate secretary of antam, Syarif Faisal Alkadrie, said in the midst of the volatile global economic situation, Antam is focused on implementing strategic policies properly and efficiently. This is done by maintaining stable production levels.
Moreover, Antam also continues efforts to bolster ferronickel sales.
Furthermore, Antam recorded unaudited nickel ore production of 8.62 million wet metric tons, a decrease of around 21.63 percent from the previous year.
Then, in terms of gold production, throughout 2022, the company recorded a total production of 1,268 kilograms of gold or the equivalent of 40,767 troy ounces of gold. This number decreased by 24.88 percent compared to the total production in the previous year.
