IDXChannel - An ASEAN Secretariat delegation will conduct a working visit to India this week to boost ties between the regional bloc and the world's most populous nation.
"At the invitation of the Government of the Republic of India, Secretary-General of ASEAN Kao Kim Hourn will lead the ASEAN Secretariat delegation for a working visit to the Republic of India on 12-15 February 2024," the ASEAN Secretariat stated in a media release.
During the course of the visit, Kao is scheduled to meet with key high-ranking government officials, think-tanks, academia, and the business community, with an aim to advance ASEAN-India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
To further promote ASEAN diplomacy and visibility, Kao will also visit Nalanda University in the State of Bihar where he will give a special lecture on “The Future of ASEAN: ASEAN’s Relevance and Resilience in the Evolving Strategic Environment.”
Kao will also deliver a special lecture on the occasion of the 48th Sapru House Lecture at the Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA), a renowned think-tank based in New Delhi.
