IDXChannel - The Acting Governor of Bali Sang Made Mahendra Jaya held a kick-off meeting today for the Denpasar-Badung-Gianyar-Tabanan (Sarbagita) Electric Bus Rapid Transit (e-BRT) project.

The project aims to improve access to affordable, sustainable, and safe public transport in Bali.

Australia is partnering with the United States’ Millennium Challenge Corporation to support the Sarbagita e-BRT project.

The project will undertake feasibility assessments, business case development and preliminary infrastructure designs on two priority electric bus mass transit corridors to improve public transport connectivity and mobility for Bali residents.

“Australia is pleased to support the Indonesian Government in strengthening sustainable public transport in Bali,” said Tim Stapleton, Minister Counsellor Economic, Investment, and Infrastructure at the Australian Embassy in Jakarta, in a media release on Wednesday (18/10/2023).
