IDXChannel - Travelers will be able to use sections 4, 5 and 6 of the new Cisumdawu toll road on 15 April. The annual Eid al-Fitr or Lebaran mass exodus will begin later this month.
Meanwhile, sections 1, 2 and 3 of the Cisumdawu Toll Road have been operational since last year.
"Yes, this is one of the routes that we hope can be functionally operational during Eid. The Minister of Public Works and Public Housing said that on April 15 this route could be completed, so that it could be used to facilitate the exodus, "said Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs Muhadjir Effendy in his official statement on Monday (10/4/2023).
Based on the explanation from Public Works and Public Husing Minister Basuki Hadimuljono, the Cisumdawu Highway will shorten the travel time from Cileunyi to Dawuan so that people from Bandung who travel to Semarang and Central Java do not need to go to Cikampek, but can go directly through Dawuan.
The Ministry of Transportation explained the Cisumdawu Toll Road would only be open from morning to 3 pm. This is because the toll road area is usually covered by fog at night.
