IDXChannel - Garuda Indonesia has begun to remove its mask requirements. The move is in line with the latest health protocol regulations.
Garuda Indonesia President Director Irfan Setiaputra said the Government recently issued the the Circular Letter (SE) of the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) Number 16 of 2023 concerning Health Protocols for Air Transportation Passengers during the Transition Period of the Covid-19 Endemic.
"With the enactment of the SE, Garuda Indonesia is ready to implement adjustments, he said in a statement on Tuesday (13/6/2023).
"According to the Ministry of Transportation, passengers who are in good health are allowed not to use masks," he added.
Nevertheless, if a passenger is unwell or at risk of Covid-19, it is still recommended to wear a mask and avoid other people to prevent transmission of Covid-19.
