Indonesia and Cambodia Strengthen Cooperation in Combating Transnational Crimes

IDXChannel - Santo Darmosumarto, the Indonesian Ambassador to Cambodia, met with Sar Sokha, the Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, on Tuesday (14/5/2024).

They discussed efforts in strengthening bilateral cooperation, including in combatting transnational organized crimes.

"As both nations strive for development and prosperity, cooperation between Indonesia and Cambodia is pivotal in fostering a safe and conducive environment for growth," the Indonesian Embassy in Phnom Penh stated in a media release.

"By working hand in hand, Indonesia and Cambodia reaffirm their shared commitment to combatting transnational crimes and safeguarding the interests of both countries," it added.

Darmosumarto expressed his appreciation for the Cambodian Government's continued support and assistance in efforts carried out by the Indonesian Embassy in Phnom Penh to facilitate the needs and protect Indonesian citizens living in Cambodia.
