IDXChannel - Indonesian Ambassador in Vienna Damos Dumoli Agusman and Turkish Airlines General Manager for Austria and Slovakia Serkan Ozuyukyoruk have agreed to maximize the potential for cooperation in the aviation and tourism sectors.
On August 25, Ambassador Damos received a visit from the Turkish Airlines official. They exchanged visions and missions and agreed to strengthen cooperation.
"During the visit, Turkish Airlines expressed its ambition to expand the reach of its flights through a global network," the Indonesian Embassy in Vienna stated in a written statement released on Monday (28/8/2023).
Turkish Airlines believes that Indonesia has great potential in the aviation world, in addition to similarities between Turkiye and Indonesia in economic resilience and high gross domestic product (GDP) growth, as well as historical and cultural closeness.
"For this reason, Turkish Airlines expressed its willingness to cooperate and participate in the activities of the Indonesian Embassy in Vienna, including in promoting Indonesian tourism," the Indonesian Embassy stated.
Meanwhile, the Indonesian Embassy in Ankara recently launched the establishment of the Indonesia-Turkiye Friendship Association in order to strengthen the second track of diplomacy in relations between the two countries.
A number of high-profile names are recorded as the founders of the association such as Haluk Bayraktar, CEO of Baykar Technology, which is Turkiye's leading drone company, and Eren Gunhan Ulusoy, a prominent businessman in Turkiye. (WHY)
