IDXChannel - Indonesian Navy's Radjiman Wedyodiningrat Warship arrived at the Al Arish Port in North Sinai Province of Egypt this week.
The Indonesian Embassy in Cairo welcomed the arrival of the hospital ship in Egypt.
The hospital ship, led by Navy Commander Colonel Bayu Dwi Wicaksono, carried 242.6 tons of humanitarian aid, equivalent to more than USD1.5 million.
"Humanitarian aid from various elements in Indonesia has been handed over by the Commander of the Indonesian Navy's Port Visit Task Force 2024, Rear Admiral of the Indonesian National Armed Forces Sumarji Bimoaji, to Ahmad Ali Al Buhaeri, the Field Officer of the Egyptian Red Crescent in Al Arish," the Indonesian Embassy in Cairo stated in its media release.
Subsequently, the aid items were transported by 30 trucks from Al Arish to Gaza by the Egyptian Red Crescent team, where they were then handed over to the Palestinian Red Crescent in Gaza.
