IDXChannel - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is scheduled to visit Asmat Regency, South Papua Province today (7/6/2023).
The President will inspect and inaugurate Ewer Airport in Asmat Regency. After the inauguration, the President will return to Jayapura Regency.
Accompanying the President on the flight to Asmat Regency are Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian, Minister of Investment/Head of BKPM Bahlil Lahadalia, and TNI Commander Admiral Yudo Margono.
The Head of State will also conduct a working visit to Keroom Regency. There, the President is scheduled to inspect corn fields in food estate areas.
Jokowi and his entourage arrived at Sentani Airport, Jayapura, Papua, on Wednesday evening. He visited Australia and Papua New Guinea earlier this week.
In Australia, the two countries agreed that more needs to be done to enhance economic integration and two-way investment. They welcomed new commercial deals in healthcare, mining and digital economy sectors.
Indonesian and Australian leaders also discussed the opportunities for both countries from the global transition towards electric vehicles on the road to net zero emissions. They directed officials to advance cooperation and collaboration on this vital matter. (WHY)
