IDXChannel - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and First Lady Iriana Jokowi arrived at Tianfu International Airport, Chengdu City, China, Thursday (27/7/2023).
Jokowi was greeted by Indonesian Ambassador to China Djauhari Oratmangun and Defense Attache at the Indonesian Embassy in Beijing Brigadier General (Mar) Benny P. Nadeak. In addition, Chinese Minister of Education Huai Jinpeng, Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia Lu Kang, and the Governor of Sichuan Province Huangqiang also welcomed the Indonesian Head of State at the airport.
From the airport, Jokowi and the first lady along with their entourage went to their hotel where they would spend the night.
At the location, there were alreadyCoordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Muhadjir Effendy, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi, Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Head of the Indonesian Capital City Authority (IKN) Bambang Susantono, as well as Chairman of Indonesian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) Arsjad Rasjid.
On Thursday morning, Jokowi said his visit to Chengdu was intended to fulfill an invitation from Chinese President Xi Jinping.
