IDXChannel - The Indonesian government is set to create a one-stop service platform for all investment activities in Nusantara Capital City (IKN).

The move was decided in a joint meeting between President Joko Widodo, Vice President Ma'ruf Amin, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, and the Nusantara Capital City Authority (OIKN)

The platform is needed to boost investment activities, as well as to facilitate investors in IKN.

So far, according to data from OIKN, there have been 209 letters of interest (LoI). 36 of them have entered advanced stages.

"There have a lot of LoIs. The number as of today is 209. 36 have signed non-disclosure agreements," said OIKN Head Bambang Susantono, Monday (15 /5/2023).

According to Bambang, when investors have entered advanced stages, the discussions will be more detailed and there will be exchanges of data and so on.

"After that they usually visit the sites. Then after that, they make feasibility studies and of course the business plans," said Bambang.

Apart from establishing a one-stop service platform, Bambang stated, the government would also form a special task force to solve various land problems.

"We want everything to be clean and clear," said Bambang.

Bambang said the special task force team would be chaired by the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment who would coordinate all related institutions.

"So that the process of accelerating investment in IKN can run better and more efficiently," said Bambang. (WHY)
