Indonesia Encourages US to Enhance Cooperation in Critical Minerals
Indonesian Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Pahala Mansury received a visit from United States (US) Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick in Jakarta on Tuesday.
IDXChannel - Indonesian Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Pahala Mansury received a visit from United States (US) Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick in Jakarta on Tuesday (20/8/2024).
"Both discussed the need for concrete cooperation under the comprehensive strategic partnership between Indonesia and the US," Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
Vice Minister Mansury highlighted the need to enhance cooperation in strategic sectors such as critical minerals and energy transition, semiconductors, education, and human resource development.
He also proposed a partnership for development cooperation with African and Pacific countries.
"Vice Minister Mansury encourages the US to Continue Being a partner for Indonesia in realizing peace, stability, and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific," the Ministry stated.
"Vice Minister Mansury hopes that the US can push for a permanent ceasefire in Palestine, the delivery of humanitarian aid, and the achievement of a two-state solution in accordance with international law," the Ministry concluded. (Wahyu Dwi Anggoro)
