IDXChannel - Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs Teten Masudki has stated that the production of red cooking oil is yet to be realized. The main obstacle is related to financing that has not been fulfilled

This was conveyed by the minister in a working meeting with the Commission VI of the House of Representative. He added that the development of regulations related to red cooking oil is still being carried out.

Furthermore, Teten said that the red cooking oil program is using funds from the Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency in the amount of Rp70 trillion. Previously, President Jokowi asked the minister of cooperatives and SMEs to conduct trials as part of the development of cooking oil products.

The trials are intended to prove whether the products can later be absorbed by the public.

“Now red cooking oil is still in the early stage and this uses BPDPKS’ funds worth Rp70 trillion,” Teten said.
