IDXChannel – The weakening of the global economy, especially the threat of a global recession this year, has affected business actors who are members of the Indonesia Enterpreneurs Association or Apindo.
For this reason, Apindo ask the government and the DPR to approve the establishment of a no work no pay no rule to avoid termination of employment.
In his explation before members of the commission 9 DPR RI and the Minister of Manpower, The Head of Employment Division of The Indonesian Employers Association or Apindo Anton Supit explained how currently the industry in the country is starting to languish.
“Is not just shoes and textiles and textile products (PTP), it turns out that rubber has decreased by more or less 40 percent, and this will have an even more severe effect because it involves people rubber. This means that if world demand decreases, then this smallholder rubber will not be absorbed optimally. This of course will create new problems again.”
Apindo noted that although a number of businesses experienced a decline, the Indonesian economy was able to be supported by the automotive industry, wich was able to export to the middle east and Asia, wich experienced an increase.
