Bali Airport Serves Nearly 10 Million Passengers in First Half of 2023

IDXChannel - I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali served 9,744,321 passengers throughout the first half of 2023.

According to President Director of PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) Faik Fahmi said, the number of passengers in the first semester of 2023 jumped by 127% compared to the same period last year.

 "Bali's I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport is also Angkasa Pura I's airport which recorded the highest growth in the first semester of 2023," said Faik in his official statement on Friday (21/7/2023).

Furthermore, the airport recorded a very significant increase in the number of international passengers, serving 5.1 million international passengers in the first six months of 2023.

In the first half of 2022, the airport only served 752 thousand international passengers. Throughout 2022, it recorded 4.5 million international passengers.

Last semester, Juanda Airport in Surabaya was ranked second with 6,775,845 passengers, while Sultan Hasanuddin Airport in Makassar was in the third place with 5,172,271 passengers.

"In total, the three airports served 21.6 million passengers  and 152,766 aircrafts, covering 66% of the total passenger movements and 56% of the total aircraft movements at our 15 airports throughout the first semester of 2023," concluded Faik.
