Indonesia and UAE Agree to Expedite Cooperation in Various Sectors

Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono led a roundtable meeting with United Arab Emirates (UAE) Energy and Infrastructure Minister.

IDXChannel - Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono led a roundtable meeting with United Arab Emirates (UAE) Energy and Infrastructure Minister Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei. The roundtable meeting was held in Jakarta on Thursday (30/1/2025).

During the meeting, Sugiono emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

The two ministers agreed to expedite the implementation of existing collaborations in various fields, renewable energy, food security, industrial downstreaming, and defense sectors. 

"The direction from the Indonesian President is very clear. We want the partnership between Indonesia and the UAE to continue to develop more concretely, and so that the agreements reached in the previous years can be implemented," said Sugiono in a media release.

"Therefore, the Indonesian Government will try to facilitate the creation of a conducive and adequate ecosystem to implement the plans that have been agreed," he added.

The UAE delegation consisted of 48 people.The Indonesian delegation consisted of deputy ministers, state-owned enterprise offcials, and business leaders. (Wahyu Dwi Anggoro)
