Indonesia Condemns Israeli Attack on Gaza's Al-Jaouni School

Indonesia has strongly condemned Saturday's Israeli attack on Al-Jaouni school in Central Gaza.

IDXChannel - Indonesia has strongly condemned Saturday's Israeli attack on Al-Jaouni school in Central Gaza.

The attack killed at least 16 people. The school is located at the Nuseirat refugee camp and run by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).

"Indonesia strongly condemns Israel's barbaric attack on al-Jaouni school in the Nuseirat refugee camp operated by UNRWA in Central Gaza," the Indonesian Foreign Ministry stated on X today (8/7/2024).

"Israel continues to commit atrocities and violate international law, causing civilian casualties continue to rise," it stated.

The school sheltered thousands of displaced civilians when the Israeli Air Force attacked the area.

"Are such atrocities still not enough for the UN Security Council and countries supporting Israel to take firm actions against Israel?" it stated.

The ongoing Israeli onslaught in Gaza since October 2024 has killed more than 38 thousand Palestinians. Millions of civilians in Gaza currently is facing multidimensional crises, including the threat of famine. (WHY)
