IDXChannel - The Indonesian Foreign Ministry has cooperated with various charitable organizations to launch the Joint Humanitarian Aid Campaign for Gaza.

The launch ceremony was held in Jakarta on Wednesday (26/2/2025). It was attended by representatives from the Indonesian Ulama Council (MUI), the National Zakat Agency (Baznas), as well as various humanitarian organizations.

In his speech, Vice Foreign Minister Anis Matta emphasized Indonesia’s strong commitment to continue supporting the struggle of the Palestinian people, including those in Gaza, who have long faced a humanitarian crisis.

“Since the founding of the Republic of Indonesia, Palestine has always held a special place in the hearts of our nation. Indonesia’s support for Palestine’s independence struggle is not merely rhetoric but a constitutional mandate and a moral legacy from our founding fathers,” stated Anis in a media release.

This campaign is designed to provide greater support for Palestine, ranging from emergency humanitarian aid, rehabilitation, reconstruction, to community empowerment.

The goal is not only to provide temporary assistance but also to build new hope for the Palestinian people to rise with independence and dignity.

To support this joint effort, the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, along with Indonesian charitable and humanitarian organizations who are active in aiding Palestine, has established a Coordination Forum. This forum will ensure that aid to Palestine is distributed efficiently, accountably, and on target. (Wahyu Dwi Anggoro)
