IDXChannel - Indonesia has welcomed the decision of Slovenia to officially recognize the State of Palestine.
The Slovenian parliament approved the decision this week. Slovenia was the fourth European country that recognized the State of Palestine in the past few weeks.
"This is an awakening of our collective conscience and an important step towards the two-state solution," the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on its official X account.
"Together, we shall continue to defend justice and humanity for Palestine," the Ministry added.
Last week, Spain, Norway, and Ireland simultaneously announced its formal recognition of the State of Palestine. The move is expected to help advance the implementation of two-state solution.
