IDXChannel - Tourism Malaysia is committed to positioning Malaysia as a leading international travel destination in the Indonesian market.

Tourism Malaysia was recognized as the National Tourism Organisation of the Year at the 15th Indonesia Travel & Tourism Awards 2024/2025, its fifth win in a row.

The award was presented to Tourism Malaysia's Jakarta Office Director Hairi Mohd Yakzan during a ceremony held in Jakarta on Tuesday (17/12/2024)

"This remarkable achievement follows similar wins in 2019, 2021, 2022, and 2023," Tourism Malaysia said in a media release.

The next Visit Malaysia Year will take place in 2026. Indonesia is one of Tourism Malaysia's key target markets. 

Key target markets are prioritised into three tiers, led by first-level priorities such as China, India, Indonesia, Vietnam and Australia. 

The second-level priorities include South Korea, Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and the United Kingdom (UK), followed by third-level priorities comprising Chinese Taipei and Germany. (Wahyu Dwi Anggoro)
