IDXChannel – The value of fintech transaction in Indonesia remains high even through funding for digital startups in the Asian Region has decreased. This was conveyed by the Minister of Communication and informatics Johnny Plate.
The Minister revealed that the decline in the flow of digital start up funding in the Asian region reached 60 percent year on year and 33 percent quarter to quarter in the third quarter of 2022. However the transaction value of the Indonesian Fintech sector with a compounded annual growth rate of 39 percent is still ranks second highest among the G20 countries.
Furthermore, he assessed that technology adoption requires multi stakeholder collaboration from the industrial sector government and related stakeholders to ensure the realization of a safe national digital economy.
