IDXChannel - Australian Ambassador to Indonesia Penny Williams, together with Deputy VII for Coordination of International Economic Cooperation from the Indonesian Coordinating Ministry for Economy Edi Prio Pambudi, has signed a new subsidiary arrangement for the Australia Indonesia partnership for Economic Development (Prospera).
The new arrangement will strengthen the longstanding economic development partnership between Australia and Indonesia, with a focus on climate and energy.
“This arrangement builds on more than two decades of economic development collaboration between Indonesia and Australia and highlights the shared journey our countries will undertake through the climate and energy transition,” said Edi in a media release on Thursday (25/7/2024).
“Both Indonesia and Australia are strongly committed to implementing KINETIK (Australia-Indonesia Climate and Infrastructure Partnership), strengthening the partnership between our two countries, and attracting more private investment into renewable energy and green industry,” Edi said.
Through Prospera, Ambassador Williams said, Australia and Indonesia collaborate and share knowledge on areas of importance to both countries, including clean energy, digital transformation and tax and economic policy.
