IDXChannel - Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi held a bilateral meeting with Dutch Foreign Minister, Hanke Bruins Slot, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York on Friday (22/9/2023).
The two Foreign Ministers discussed the strengthening of bilateral relations between Indonesia and the Netherlands and Indonesia's plan for membership in the OECD.
Starting the meeting, Foreign Minister Retno congratulated Foreign Minister Slot as the new Dutch Foreign Minister and welcomed the plan to strengthen cooperation between the two countries including the planned working visit of Foreign Minister Slot to Jakarta next month.
The Dutch Foreign Minister expressed his appreciation for the good bilateral relations between Indonesia and the Netherlands so far.
"The two Foreign Ministers agreed on the importance of continuing to strengthen partnerships, including in the areas of energy transition and food security," The Foreign Ministry stated in a media release.
