IDXChannel - The Indonesian Embassy in Phnom Penh hosted the Indonesia Health Fest (IHF) in Sihanoukville on 8-10 June to foster collaboration and cooperation between the health sectors of Indonesia and Cambodia

"The Indonesia Health Fest 2024 is a testament to our commitment to fostering strong ties between Indonesia and Cambodia, particularly in the health sector," said Indonesian Ambassador to Cambodia Santo Darmosumarto in a media release on Monday (10/6/2024).

"We see immense potential for collaboration that can benefit both our nations," he added.

IHF 2024 showcased a comprehensive exhibition from Indonesian and Cambodian health industries. Attendees also participated in a health forum.

The forum included presentations from health practitioners, experts, and policymakers from both countries, discussing crucial health-related issues.

"Through events like IHF 2024, the Indonesian Embassy continues to strengthen ties between Indonesia and Cambodia while advocating for healthier lifestyles. It is a befitting event to commemorate the 65th Anniversary of Indonesia-Cambodia relations," he stated.

In 2023, Indonesian export of health products to Cambodia amounted to USD29,4 million, which is a significant portion of the bilateral trade, which reached USD1.1 billion.

"Indonesia is keen to push for more interactions among the stakeholders in the health sector between the two countries," he concluded. (WHY)
