IDXChannel - International tourist arrivals in Indonesia increased by 52.76 Percent in September 2023 compared to the same month last year.
According to data compiled by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), international tourist arrivals in Indonesia in September 2023 reached 1,070.25 million visits.
This number decreased by 5.51 percent compared to August 2023, but the number increased significantly by 52.76 percent compared to the same month last year (year-on-year).
According to the Deputy for Tourism and Event Planning at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy Vinsensius Jemadu, five countries dominated the number of foreign tourists in Indonesia in September 2023.
"It was dominated by foreign tourists from Malaysia (14.22 percent), Australia (13.09 percent), Singapore (10.72 percent), China (8.29 percent), and Timor Leste (5.38 percent)," said Vinsensius during a media briefing in Central Jakarta on Monday (6/11/2023).
